Hi, I’m Sophie.
My mission is to utilize data driven, human-centered design to help brilliant people (like you) solve complex problems and create products people love.
“Sophie was a member of my design team at Dell Technologies as we delivered a new Cart and Checkout experience. While working on this project, she demonstrated her skill as a full stack designer. She gathered requirements, performed user research, created designs based on this research, presented work to designers and stakeholders for reviews, and consistently delivered simple, easy-to-use experiences. Sophie was consistently user-centered in her approach, gathering user input in a timely manner to positively impact the work. One of her early tasks was to design address forms for medium and large enterprise customers. For this work she led research to better understand these customers' needs and presented results to the larger team. She also showed the ability to coalesce input from countless meetings into simple, easy-to-use designs. She was assigned to one project that required a lot of patience and perseverance to survive the gauntlet of requirements gathering. We knew we could rely on her to attend these meetings, learn what she needed to learn, and then deliver good work on her own. She was very self-sufficient, and needed little oversight for much of what she did. Sophie has an easy-going, natural rapport with both fellow designers and stakeholders that makes her effective when presenting her work, and it also makes her easy to work with. For all of the above reasons, I highly recommend Sophie as a full-stack designer. She has the domain and interpersonal skills that will enable her to succeed consistently in any design role.”
Roger Tilson, Principal Product Designer, Direct Manager
“I am so thankful for the time Sophie spent as part of our design team. She was incredibly professional and driven and always up for any task put before her. She is self motivated and her proactive nature helped build a trust wherein we could let her operate with very little oversight. At the same time she always knew when to bring challenging issues or questions forward for myself and our team lead to weigh in on. Our product partners loved working with Sophie as much as we did, and I cannot stress how much we all hope to cross paths again. Any hiring manager who has the opportunity to work with Sophie should act quickly.”
Justin David Cox, Senior Director, Direct Manager
“I've been fortunate to manage Sophie for over the past year on my team and she has been such a wonderful, bright spirit for us. Working across several data products at Visa, she has been extremely proactive and self-sufficient while working with our product, UX research and tech partners. Her sense of design and willingness to build towards the user's needs has been fantastic in achieving better products for our clients. She has my highest recommendation and our team will sorely miss her.”
Ross Abel, Design Director, Direct Manager
“Sophie is one of the easiest people to work with. She handles challenging situations skillfully and effectively. Sophie was a great help in delivering complex and difficult features on my project for commercial cart and checkout space. She partnered with business leaders, stakeholders, and engineering teams to collectively understand the requirements and led the design work to provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
Sophie approaches design challenges strategically focusing on both user and business needs and delivers balanced solutions that are practical and user-friendly. She highly values user feedback and relies on data to make informed decisions. She always strives to grow and give her best to any task.
Sophie exhibits professionalism and communicates effectively with her peers and team members. Her support and contribution to any team will be very valuable.”
Divine Lakshmi, Principal Product Designer
“Sophie and I worked together for a couple of years building the modernized purchase experience for Dell.com. Working with her was always a pleasure due to her vast design and research knowledge. She was always creative and had the customer in mind when following a problem solving thought process, the outcome and results were always impressive.
As a Product Manager, you count on your designers to work well with your developers and other business stakeholders, which is definitely something that Sophie does a great job at. She always built great relationships with the entire team and was easy to work with, it didn't really matter the audience. She was able to quickly adapt to whichever scenario we were exposed to and properly communicate her insights and ideas while using a very professional approach.
I hope to work with Sophie in the future again and I can't emphasize enough what a great Designer she is!”
Paulo Kern, Principal Product Manager
“I had the pleasure of working with Sophie when she joined Dell. Not only did she come during a complete rehaul of our application, but we also just changed operational models where designers were embedded as part of a “balance team" made up of product managers, developers, and designers. Sophie was a quick learner and quickly became a critical member of the team. Whenever we had a customer experience question, Sophie was quick to put together a prototype, get feedback and present it to the team and stakeholders with solid insights and recommendations. She showed a lot of talent, knowledge, and initiative in the entire design process, from research to delivery. The three qualities I appreciate most about Sophie are that she is proactive, always curious, and very easy to partner with. She is a positive force to reckon with on any team.”
Jonathan Hindi, Product Line Manager
“Sophie and I are on the same team, working on Cart and Checkout, and she's been an incredible asset to our team. Sophie brings a lot of enthusiasm and creativity to every project she works on, and her attention to detail is awe-inspiring. She can take feedback and incorporate it into her work, and she consistently delivers high-quality results that exceed expectations.”
